2009 Customer Service Attitude

image

Market is slow, yes.  But that does not mean agents should be slow.  Now more than ever we need to work harder and more effeciently.  The client is number one!  We have had a nice run as realtors, but now the real work begins.  I predict that those real estate professionals left standing at the end of 2009 are going to be the ones that suit up and show up.  No more waiting for the call.  Sales is a contact sport.  That is why our clients and network are called CONTACTS! We need to reach out and contact, bring them something of value, don't just ask for a sale.  Be valuable to them.  What have you done for them lately??

Attaboy Charlie! Those who go out and get the business will always be in business. I am always going to real estate offices to introduce myself, and I have refined my presentation to the point where I almost get at least one new contact who likes my inspection work, and my demeanor with the client. Good luck in 09! - Ray

There is an advantage in every market.  Now we can get more listings to increase our market share and do the work on our database that we were supposed to be doing before, but got lazy.  I let over 200 names slip through our system over the last two years.  I should be shot.  I have someone on it.....Crap that was about $100k thrown out the window.

Charlie, I couldn't agree more!  I feel like I work twice as hard for half the pay these days, but more than ever, the clients really need someone who will work for them...really, really work for them...not just write the order.  Interestingly enough, even though the work is harder than ever before, I find it twice as rewarding when we get the job done.  Best of luck in 2009!

That's the right stuff!  After the Blitz, we will be so on fire, we will melt the snow here in Connecticut!  I see you are having a heat wave, 57?  Nice!  We are waiting for a snowfall of about 3 - 6 inches, followed by ice and then, rain.  Yippee!

I made an appointment to show one of my listings tomorrow night at 5:30pm.  I am hoping that the weather is done with its little burps by then:)
